Is leadership measurable?
Is it possible to quantify and measure leadership? The answer depends on the perception of the concept of leadership in your organization.
Here is a small test:
Think of any two managers in your organization.
From your perspective, is it possible to say that one person is a better leader than another?
If your answer to the question is: "No, all managers are unique and cannot be compared with each other", it is not possible to measure the quality of leadership in your company.
If, on the other hand, the answer finds distinctions, there are certain parameters that you intuitively use to evaluate these executives.
Leadership is measurable when managers can be compared!
In order to quantify these parameters and assess the effectiveness of leaders (at least as they are seen in the respective organization), we have developed statements that are listed below. Go through them and intuitively tick the values that you think best reflect your assessment.
